Tom presents the new Audi DTM car
A month after its unveiling at the Frankfurt International Motor
Show the Audi A5 DTM will make its first public appearance on a DTM
weekend.
And who could be better to present the new 460-HP race car for
the 2012 season than the former DTM audience favourite Tom
Kristensen?
The eight-time Le Mans winner and former DTM racer will be driving
a show lap in the brand new coupe before and after the DTM race on
Sunday at Hockenheim.
"The new Audi A5 DTM looks and sounds incredible, so I really look
forward to drive some demo-laps in front of the many fantastic DTM
fans. Hockenheim is a circuit that means a lot to me, and with
Martin Tomczyk as the new DTM champ, I am sure the season finale
will be a race to remember," Tom Kristensen says.
Tom K ended his DTM career in 2009 after having won four races. He
made a brief comeback this year at Lausitzring as stand in for Mike
Rockenfeller, who was injured in a crash at Le Mans.
